I moved to London from India in 2019 to complete my MA in Publishing from UCL. This culminated in a three-year long journey as Marketing & Sales Assistant and then Marketing Executive at Chelsea Green Publishing. While I started my career originally in the book publishing industry, along the way, I became enthralled by the prospect of pursuing a career in marketing. Working on monthly reports, leading social media strategy, copywriting emails for different audience segments, analysing monthly website sales and spearheading multiple seasonal sales – this is what excited me the most about my job.
It only made sense to continue my marketing journey, now with brands instead of authors, upon my return to India towards the end of 2023. I launched my freelance digital marketing business in February 2024 and since then, I’ve worked with 8 brands across different industries based out of the UK and India. Four years into this industry, with every campaign and every client, my oeuvre as a marketer is further enriched and my creativity constantly expanding to the fulfil the needs of the brands I work with.
In one year of working as a digital marketing strategist with brands, I have:
-
Worked with 8 brands across 4 different industries in the past 1 year based out of the UK and India to streamline their digital marketing strategy.
-
Grown the social media following of my clients by an average of 66% within a 6-month period of working together.
-
Spearheaded 5+ Instagram ad campaigns for multiple clients across different verticals, goals and budgets.
-
Launched email marketing programs for 3 brands to build their newsletter program and series of automations to maximise online sales.
-
Executed 5 campaign rollouts for new product launches across social media & email marketing.
-
Conducted multiple brand audit workshops with clients who were stuck in figuring out their USPs and overall brand strategy.
-
Provided hands-on marketing support and guidance to all my clients.
